An eight year old spent the afternoon reading my booklets. They were a little bit challenging for her to read, but she worked through every one.
Then she spent the next couple of days writing her own tract. Isn’t that amazing? Her aunt stapled it together for her.
I told her grandfather she was discipling herself. And not only that. I was encouraged and inspired to keep on trying to turn out more material. Simple enough that a child could understand the message.

For many years I have written Gospel material. My target audience – those who have never heard the Gospel message, never prayed and never had an evangelistic encounter with someone who loves Jesus.
The material must be easy to read, interesting, relatively short, evangelistic and apologetic.
My hearts desire is to strengthen, encourage and equip disciple makers. I want God’s people to be able to effectively engage the lost with as little confrontation as possible. That is the purpose of my booklets.
I’m not saying it’s easy. It’s scary because, as one of my friends noted, in the US it is no longer culturally acceptable to be a “Christian.”
Focus on one person, a friend outside your standard religious circles. Give them a booklet and ask if you can meet later to talk about it. Keep the conversation cordial. Ask leading questions – don’t preach.
One thing I’ve noticed is that people read the material but may choose not to talk about it with you at the next meeting. It’s okay. Enjoy your visit. Give them another booklet and plan another visit. In time they will be able to discuss spiritual things with you. Until then, keep listening.
