SOMETHING IN COMMON!
Last fall, after I returned from the Ukraine, my son told me he had some colleagues from Ukraine that he wanted me to meet. He said the family lives in California but will be in Texas in the middle of September.
Initially I was excited about meeting them, but as time drew near the excitement turned into anxiety. I told myself they were probably very secular and had nothing in common with me, but met with them anyway.
It turns out that the husband and wife moved to the states on a religious refugee status. Both sets of their parents are Baptists and as such experienced religious persecution during the Soviet era. I was stunned as I listened to their story.
FROM LEFT: Me, their son David, Inna and Paul
The parents stayed behind in Ukraine to continue their ministries. But this young family took advantage of the opportunity to move to the states some 20 years ago.
They told me they were from a small town just south of Chernovits near the Romanian border. I told them that is the exact region that I rented a car for my travels while in Ukraine.
I told them I hoped to return. Then they suggested contacting their parents if I had any needs. I suggested contacting their parents even if there were no pressing needs.

NEEDED FUNDS
At present my monthly support is about $2500 per month. I really need to increase that.
Plans are to be in Ukraine May through August. I need travel funds to cover these expenses. Please keep me in your prayers. Kevin
