BASIC FACTS (about my trip to Ukraine)

***DATE: June 7- August 11, 2023

***RENTED A CAR – drove 5000 miles (8000 kilometers) in country.

***UKRANIAN TRACTS – 10,000 was not enough – We continued sowing seeds using other evangelistic material. (Frank Grabanski traveled with me most of the time. He said, “they want to read your stuff.”)

Another 10,000 have already been printed in Odesa, Ukraine and are being distributed. (The missionary there is overseeing the printing and distribution. He  said “people like this tract.”)

***RUSSIAN TRACTS I plan to have them printed in the Russian language and distribute them in Ukraine. (I’ve already distributed them widely in St Petersburg, Russia!)

MISHA’S FAMILY

Olena is sister to the pastor in Russia. Andrei is her husband. They live in the Czech Republic but are building a home in Mukachevo, Ukraine. It’s not quite finished.

They provided my housing the last three weeks I was in Ukraine.

We communicated regularly by phone. Andrei would say something like, “when you see Stepan ask him about …” usually in reference to being a Christian in Soviet Russia. Always a good lead!

Toward the end of my stay Andrei called and asked if I was going to see Olena and Misha’s parents. So, my last Sunday in Ukraine I arranged to go to church with them at their home church.

I expected to sit with them in the pews and just enjoy the day. When I got to church I learned I was the guest speaker.

After church I had lunch with their parents. Later I went to visit with their pastor named Ivan at his home. It was a great visit.

During the conversation I told him my purpose in Ukraine was to strengthen and encourage Christians. Ivan told me, “If you want to encourage me, then come back. Don’t forget us.”

RETURN?

I do intend to return. I’m working on other printed material. When the bulk of it is printed I hope to return and do more evangelism, and hopefully some discipleship.

A GREAT TRIP

It was an incredible trip. So many answered prayers – it was amazing to see God at work. I think the greatest work was done in my heart. For a personal report contact me by phone at 9362343180 (please leave a message) or kplaster_2000@yahoo.com
