The pastor (Misha) of the church we planted in Russia is Ukrainian and his parents still live in Ukraine. While there I met with his parents. It was such a warm reception that it took me by surprise. While visiting with them his father said, “My brother, come and do ministry here like you did in St Petersburg. I will give you land to put a building on.” That was Saturday, July 2nd.

On Tuesday, July 5th Misha called me from St Petersburg and thanked me for going to see his parents. He then told me his plans for the future was to do some type of ministry on his father’s land. However, his plans had changed and he did not see himself returning to Ukraine. Then he said, “If you would like, you are welcome to the land. Go and start a ministry.” I told him I would only give an answer after serious prayerful consideration.

Personally, I thought Misha and his father had discussed this matter beforehand. But after I returned to the states I contacted Misha to discuss some things with him. While on the phone I told him about my conversation with his father. Misha was not aware of what his father told me. And yet, both made the same offer.

This seems to be the direction God is leading, whether we accept the offer or not. Do keep us in your prayers as we seek God’s will.
